Questions to ask about a proposal

Make the work inspectable.

  • Which customer task and existing page will the work address?
  • Which factual or access problem has actually been observed?
  • What evidence supports the proposed correction?
  • Which report or manual check will show an observation?
  • What does that observation leave unknown?
What Webb Flow builds

Built for the new search.

  • Content organized around the questions your customers need answered
  • Real authorship, experience and sources made visible where they matter
  • Page-appropriate markup that agrees with visible facts
  • Accurate author bios, relevant credentials and supporting sources
  • Technical and editorial work with separately recorded search observations

Five phases.
One AI-ready engine.

01

Audit

Check your current citation footprint across major AI engines, audit existing schema, content structure, and E-E-A-T signals. We map where you stand and where the gaps are.
02

Architecture

Give each page a clear reader task, support material claims and make related information easy to find. Different search experiences can show different sources; a format alone does not secure a citation.
03

Schema

Use structured data only where it accurately describes the visible page. Google’s current guide says no special AI schema is required. Its eligibility rules also include the Search Console inclusion setting; verify it for the applicable property.
04

Expertise

Make real experience, relevant credentials and supporting sources easy for a reader to inspect. Update pages when the facts change, with dates that reflect actual work.
05

Monitor & adapt

Agree on manual answer checks and available account reports before measuring. Google documents a Generative AI performance report for supported-feature impressions. It may be absent with insufficient impressions. Referral visits and inquiries need separate evidence; this page does not establish that tracking is configured.

/ Common questions

Before we
talk.

What exactly is AI search optimization?
+
It is work on site access, useful information and evidence, followed by observation of how a business appears in AI search experiences. The scope should name the pages, checks and reporting limits. A service label does not establish that a platform will select the business.
How is this different from regular SEO?
+
Google says its foundational SEO practices remain relevant to its generative AI features. A useful scope identifies the site and content issues being addressed, then records actual observations. A separate service label, writing format or schema block does not establish that a platform will cite the business.
Can you guarantee my site will be cited?
+
No. Meeting technical requirements does not guarantee crawling, indexing or inclusion in an AI answer. The work can improve the information and access your site provides; results need to be observed and reported separately.
How long until I start seeing citations?
+
There is no reliable citation deadline to promise. Crawl and indexing changes take time, and an eligible page may never be selected for a particular answer. Agree on the questions to observe and the reporting period before judging the work.
Will traditional SEO still matter?
+
Yes. Google requires an indexed, snippet-eligible page and site inclusion in Search generative AI features through Search Console. Its existing SEO practices remain relevant. Meeting these conditions does not guarantee crawling, indexing or selection. Ask the property operator to verify the applicable setting.
How do you measure success in AI search?
+
Agree on the evidence and access first. Manual answer checks record the query, date, platform and linked source. Where available, Google's Generative AI performance report shows impressions for supported Google features; it does not report branded query volume across AI tools. Referral visits and qualified inquiries need separate tracking. No private account reporting or attribution is established by this page.

Plan the site,
then check discovery.

Website access, clear information and relevant search work belong in the same plan. Choose the next task from the current site and available evidence.

Why the order matters: Check the foundation before adding another service: can the intended pages be crawled, do they explain the offer accurately, and can a visitor take the next step? Google’s AI features use existing search eligibility rules. A strong ranking, extra schema or an AI file does not guarantee a citation.
